When you come to Vietnam, One of the intering tours is Homestay tour. You can easy find Sapa Tour, Hoi An, Mai Chau or Halong Bay....
You can stay, eat and sleep in the local people house. It's really interesting and very easy way to know about the local people culture.
Someone ask about what they need to prepair before going to the homestay. In this post, I will show you some notes as I know:
It's so good if you can skim reading something about the customs, traditions and culture where you are going to. This will help a lot in getting used to the new environment and get along with the indigenous people. You do not have to prepare much for a homestay holiday, it is important to make sure to pack all the necessary facilities to make your stay most comfortable.
You should also bring clothes rather moderate amount with holidays and ensure compliance with local culture as well as the activities you participate in activities to experience. Bring warm clothes if it's homestay in the mountains zones because of the low temperatures at night. Also bring more than 1 shoes or sandals. Drug and flashlights is needed too.
When you choose a Homestay tour, you will not be able to get the comfortable as when you stay in resort or hotel but you will get a real life experience. A really fresh health and interesting to directly participate in each activity of the local people.
One more thing, you should give the homestay's owner a small gift when you come.
